Final Solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC) Release

Earthlight is Ready for What’s Next

Policy changes are shifting how federal solar tax credits work, but at Earthlight, we remain confident in our position and our future. With a diversified foundation that includes commercial and residential solar, battery storage, EV charging, sports lighting, and a growing new roofing division, we’re built to adapt. No matter how the landscape changes, we’re prepared to lead.

The updated policy brings new timelines for both residential and commercial solar projects. For homeowner-owned residential systems, installation must be completed no later than December 31, 2025. Residential leases and power purchase agreements remain eligible through 2027, as long as the system is fully energized by that time. For businesses, commercial solar projects are also eligible through 2027 if fully energized by the deadline. Even with this shift, the value of solar remains clear. Solar is still a strong, standalone investment, especially as electricity rates continue to rise.

At Earthlight, we believe our responsibility doesn’t end with installation. We’re proud to service orphaned systems because we believe in supporting solar for the long run, whether you’re our customer or not. Our dedicated service team is here to ensure every system we touch delivers lasting performance and peace of mind. If your system needs service, or if you’re not sure where to turn, we’re here to help.

As always, we’re here to help our customers move forward with clarity, confidence, and long-term savings. Our commitment to our customers is rooted in our core values and drives us to deliver honest guidance, lasting results, and responsive service.
