Earthlight Named to Solar Power World's 2026 Top Solar Contractors List
Earthlight Technologies has something big to celebrate. We have been named to Solar Power World's 2026 Top Solar Contractors List, ranking No. 114 among solar installers nationwide, No. 3 in Connecticut, and No. 4 in Oregon.
Our CEO and Co-Founder Sam Schneider was also invited to contribute his perspective to the publication's July issue. Together, Earthlight's rankings and Sam's inclusion reflect both the work our team completed throughout 2025 and the company's growing voice within the solar industry.
What Is Solar Power World?
Solar Power World has a front-row seat to the U.S. solar industry. Its coverage follows the projects, policies, technology, and people shaping how solar is designed, installed, and brought to communities across the country.
Each year, the publication turns its attention to the companies doing that work through its Top Solar Contractors List. The list brings together participating contractors working across residential, commercial, community, and utility-scale solar, offering a nationwide look at the companies helping the industry grow.
How the Rankings Are Determined
The Top Solar Contractors List is based on completed solar installations, not public voting. Participating companies report the number of kilowatts they installed during the previous calendar year, and Solar Power World verifies the information against state interconnection records. That means the 2026 list is based on work completed in 2025.
The publication organizes the results nationally and by state, market, and service type. Earthlight reported 20,708.11 kilowatts, or more than 20.7 megawatts, installed during the year. That placed the company No. 114 among solar installers nationwide.
Earthlight also earned the No. 3 position in Connecticut with 14,835.27 kilowatts installed and the No. 4 position in Oregon with 2,690.15 kilowatts installed. Our residential solar and commercial solar teams across both states contributed to those totals.
A Company-Wide Accomplishment
Behind those totals are homeowners and businesses with systems our team carried from planning through completion. Some were residential installations. Others were large commercial projects that required months, or even years, of preparation and coordination. All of them depended on people across Earthlight doing their part.
From the first customer conversation to design, engineering, permitting, scheduling, installation, inspection, interconnection, and service, many teams help move a project forward. The way each step is handled shapes the experience our customers have and the quality of the finished system.
This accomplishment belongs to the entire Earthlight team. It reflects the employees working directly with customers, the crews completing installations in the field, and the people supporting every project behind the scenes. Each role contributed to what Earthlight accomplished in 2025.
Earthlight's Voice in the Industry
Earthlight's presence in the July issue goes beyond the rankings. Solar Power World invited CEO and Co-Founder Sam Schneider to contribute his perspective to the publication, where he is featured on page 52.
Solar Power World reaches contractors, developers, manufacturers, and other professionals across the country. Asking Sam to contribute gave Earthlight a voice in a larger industry conversation and recognized the experience our leadership team brings to the solar field.
Since helping found Earthlight in 2008, Sam has guided the company through significant changes in solar technology, policy, and customer needs. His inclusion shows that Earthlight is not only completing projects at a nationally recognized scale. We are also contributing insight to the conversations shaping the industry.
