Suburban Garbage Service Reduces Energy Usage by 96%
“In the refuse and recycling business we strive for sustainability in all areas. This solar project was intriguing to me from the stand point of low maintenance, minimum visibility and short payback time. Earthlight did a great job of explaining how the system works. They did a fine job of coordinating installation so we could make our end of the year deadline.”
Operating a refuse and recycling business in Oregon requires a large amount of energy to operate efficiently. In 2016, Suburban Garbage Service in Salem, Oregon decided to put the sun to use by installing solar panels on the roof top of their three buildings.
Art Kuenzi contacted Earthlight’s Oregon office to design and install a solar power system. Earthlight’s solar design experience, insight and quality products provided maximum returns for Suburban Garbage. The new rooftop solar power system is reducing Suburban Garbage’s energy usage by 96 percent.
